Tibial tuberosity

Definition

The tibial tuberosity is a large, prominent bump on the top front part of the tibia (shinbone), where the patellar ligament attaches. It plays a crucial role in the knee joint by providing an attachment point for the quadriceps muscle group through the patellar ligament.
