Leukocytosis

Definition

Leukocytosis is a condition characterized by an increased number of white blood cells (leukocytes) in the bloodstream, often indicating an immune response to infection, inflammation, or other stimuli. It can be detected through a complete blood count (CBC) test, showing levels above the normal range for leukocytes.
