Lateral condyle of the femur

Definition

The lateral condyle is one of two rounded protrusions (the other being the medial condyle) on the distal end of the femur (thigh bone), which articulate with the tibia and fibula in the lower leg. It plays a crucial role in forming the knee joint and facilitating leg movements.
