Growth Hormone (GH) is a peptide hormone secreted by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland, which stimulates growth, cell reproduction, and cell regeneration in humans and other animals. It plays a crucial role in regulating body composition, body fluids, muscle and bone growth, sugar and fat metabolism, and possibly heart function.
