Southern African Development Community

Definition

The Southern African Development Community is an inter-governmental organization aimed at furthering socio-economic cooperation and integration as well as political and security cooperation among 16 southern African states. It seeks to enhance economic growth, alleviate poverty, and promote peace and security in the region.
