The Bharatiya Janata Party is a major right-wing political party in India that adheres to the ideology of Hindutva, or Hindu nationalism. It has been a dominant force in Indian politics, particularly since 2014 when it secured a majority in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India's Parliament.
