Definition

Th2 cells, or T helper type 2 cells, are a subset of CD4+ T cells that play a critical role in the adaptive immune response by producing cytokines that stimulate B cell proliferation and antibody production. They are essential for defending against extracellular pathogens such as parasites and for contributing to allergic responses.
