Definition

The frontal bone is a large bone at the front of the skull that forms the forehead, the roofs of the orbits (eye sockets), and most of the anterior part of the cranial floor. It also contains sinuses known as frontal sinuses, which are air-filled cavities that reduce the weight of the skull and improve voice resonance.
