AP Human Geography Unit 1 is an introduction to the terms and processes that geographers use to understand how human activity has affected and is influenced by the environment. In this review, we discuss basic geographic terms including scale, place, and location. Then, we go over the types of maps you may be asked to identify in multiple choice questions and free response questions including different types of projections like the Mercator and Robinson. Finally, weโll review the types of regions including formal, functional, and vernacular.
