Boc derivative

Definition

A Boc derivative is a compound used in organic chemistry, specifically in peptide synthesis, to protect the amino group of an amino acid or peptide by attaching a t-butoxycarbonyl (Boc) group. This protection prevents unwanted reactions at the amino site during the synthesis process.
