Definition

Resistance movements are organized efforts by a group of people to oppose, fight against, or thwart policies, practices, or conditions viewed as oppressive or unjust within their society. These movements often employ various tactics, from nonviolent protest to more assertive actions, to achieve social, political, or economic change.
