Semi-presidential regimes

Definition

Semi-presidential regimes are systems of government where a president exists alongside a prime minister and a cabinet, with the executive power being divided between them. The president is usually elected by the populace and holds significant authority, while the prime minister, who is often appointed by the president, may be responsible for running the government's day-to-day operations.
