Definition

Ruling out refers to the process of eliminating or excluding potential causes or factors before making a diagnosis. In the context of diagnosing Conversion Disorder (Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder), ruling out physical causes means systematically eliminating possible medical conditions that could be causing the symptoms, such as neurological disorders or other physiological issues.
