from class:

AP Chemistry

Definition

Planck's equation, also known as the Planck-Einstein relation, is a fundamental equation in quantum mechanics that relates the energy of a photon to its frequency. It states that the energy (E) of a photon is equal to its frequency (ν) multiplied by Planck's constant (h): E = hν.
