Testosterone

Definition

Testosterone is a steroid hormone produced primarily in the testes of males and the ovaries of females, though in much smaller amounts, and is crucial for the development of male sexual characteristics and reproduction. It also plays a key role in muscle mass, bone density, and the regulation of mood.
